Microsoft Innovative Teachers Awards - 2009
Are you using ICT to teach in an interesting way? Are you planning to use ICT to
create a engaging, project based learning opportunity for your learners?
In 2009 Microsoft will again be running the Innovative Teachers Awards. This
event recognises teachers who make innovative use of ICT to enhance teaching and
learning. There are great prizes to be won (including laptops, mobile phones,
interactive whiteboards etc.) as well as an opportunity to represent

Please note that the closing date for entries is Monday 25 May 2009 – this is
earlier than in previous years, so start planning your innovative project now so
that you will be ready to implement it as soon as the new school year starts.

This course gives some guidance for thinking outside of the box and includes
some examples of previous projects.

These workshops are aimed at teachers who already have good ICT skills,
and who are using ICT with their learners, but who would like some guidance
around how to put together an innovative project to submit for the 2009
Microsoft Innovative Teachers Awards. Face-to-face Innovate Workshops are being
planned for March 2009 in the following metropolitan areas:
